Our policies and procedures, also referred to as written directives, are the foundation of the Police Department’s operations and serve as the official guide in which all employees must follow to carry out our mission.

CPD is committed to providing the highest possible standards of professional policing.  Our policies are in compliance with the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program and also comply with national standards in their formulation.
