America Recycles Day
America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful, is a nationally recognized day (on November 15th) dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Each Keep America Beautiful affiliate community hosts an event in early November tailored to their unique needs. The local event is an opportunity to raise awareness for the national America Recycles Day effort.
2025 Event:
America Recycles Day at Boneyard Creek Litter Clean-Up Event
When: Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. PLEASE NOTE THE NEW TIME!! (there will be no rain make-up date!)
Where: Meet at the north end of the North First Street Parking Lot next to Prosperity Gardens at 302 N. First St., Champaign
Event details:
- We are once again looking for volunteers to help pick up litter along the Boneyard Creek!
- You will need to sign a waiver upon your arrival.
- We provide the gloves, buckets, pick-up sticks, trash and recycling bags, safety vests, etc.
- We will also provide FREE reusable canvas bags and t-shirts, if you’d like one.
- A FREE pizza lunch will once again be provided immediately following the clean-up!
