America Recycles Day

America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful, is a nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States.  Each Keep America Beautiful affiliate community hosts an event in early November tailored to their unique needs.  The local event is an opportunity to raise awareness for the national America Recycles Day effort.

The 2018 America Recycles Day event has now concluded.  A big thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers for helping Keep Champaign Beautiful!  Please check back in Fall 2019 for new event details.

The 2018 America Recycles Day @ Boneyard Creek was held on Saturday, November 10, from 10 a.m. to Noon.

Individuals and groups volunteer to pickup litter at this cleanup event, and the City provides gloves, buckets, and pick-up sticks.  The City also provides a free pizza lunch for participants.
