In order to complete a sanitary sewer connection at 809 W. Washington Street, Roto-Rooter has closed a portion of Washington Street between Prospect Avenue and New Street. The closure began on Wednesday, March 6, and will reopen on or before Wednesday, March 13, 2024.  Through traffic will be maintained in this area.

In order to complete scheduled improvements to gas mains and services, Ameren Illinois has closed Fourth Street between Washington Street and Hill Street. The closure began on Wednesday, November 8, and will reopen on Friday, December 1, 2023. Through traffic will not be allowed in the area, but access will remain for all local properties.
