The Finance Department partners with other departments to use the City’s financial resources efficiently and effectively to maintain and improve our customers’ quality of life. To achieve that goal, we strive to meet the following objectives to the best of our abilities:

  • Respectfully deliver high quality services to our customers – citizens, visitors, taxpayers, businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and City employees
  • Meet City Council goals
  • Maintain the City’s strong financial position and reputation, including the City’s AAA credit ratings
  • Effectively and efficiently collect, protect, invest and distribute financial resources
  • Provide financial information consistent with the highest professional standards, including standards for transparency
  • Use state of the art technology to provide our customers alternative methods to make and receive payments
