Amanda Farthing has worked in Champaign’s Human Resources Department since 2006, when she joined the City as a Human Resources Intern. She later served as a Human Resources Technician (2007) before being promoted to Human Resources Specialist (2008) then Assistant Human Resources Director (2014).

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama and a Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Ms. Farthing is recognized as a Senior Certified Professional by the International Public Management Association for Human Resources.
