Kirby Avenue Lane Closure (between Duncan Road and Stratford Drive)
In order to complete pavement patching, Always Underground Inc. will close one eastbound lane of Kirby Avenue between Duncan Road and Stratford Drive. The closure will begin on Thursday, January 8, and will reopen on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, weather permitting. During the closure, eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.
Public Notice – Temporary Road Closure and Early Morning Construction Noise 1/7/26
In order to remove the holiday tree from the Downtown Plaza, the City of Champaign Public Works Department will temporarily close one southbound lane of Neil St. between Washington St. and Main St. between the hours of 5:00am to 7:00am on Wednesday, January 7.
