About Us

The mission of the Legal Department is to provide the highest quality legal counsel to the City Council, City Manager, Boards and Commissions, City Departments and all City and Township officials in matters relating to their official duties. In addition, the Legal Department reviews and approves all legal documents and prosecutes and defends all suits against, for, and on behalf of the City of Champaign and its agencies and the City of Champaign Township.
