In order to repair a broken water main, Illinois American Water will close the eastbound lane of Washington Street between Hickory Street and Walnut Street. The lane closure will begin on Wednesday, May 16 and will reopen on Monday, May 21. During the closure, eastbound and westbound traffic will shift around the construction. One lane of eastbound traffic and one lane of westbound traffic will be maintained.
