May 2, 2023, the staff from the Equity and Engagement Department met with G.L.A.M (Growing, Learning, Achieving, and Maturing) Girls for dinner. The young ladies recently completed an etiquette training geared towards developing their social manners and dining etiquette. The girls were able to exemplify their proper mannerisms while applying the knowledge they acquired from the previous weeks.
G.L.A.M Girls is a mentorship program that gives girls an opportunity to unify together, discuss real challenges while finding their voice. The ladies discuss a variety of topics from self-esteem, peer pressure, coping strategies, and real-world issues they may face. G.L.A.M Girls provides an inclusive environment that promotes growth, learning, achievement, and maturity among the girls by hosting weekly discussions and activities geared towards sisterhood and social-emotional learning and development.
