Staff from the Fire and Human Resources Departments collaborated to launch the 2022 Firefighter recruitment process. Applications will be accepted at NationalTestingNetwork.com through September 23, 2022. The testing process will culminate with the 2023-2025 Eligibility List that is scheduled to be approved by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners in February 2023.
In addition to traditional recruitment strategies, the Fire Department is offering the second Adult Fire Explorers Program in an effort to increase the diversity of qualified applicants.
The City will also host a Virtual Recruitment Information Meeting through Zoom on August 17, 2022, at 6:00 pm. Register for the virtual meeting.
