The CommUnity Matters team partnered with Neighborhood Programs Division staff to host the 2015 Wellness Spring Fling on May 18th at Garden Hills Elementary School. Numerous vendors were on hand to provide valuable information to nearly 100 Unit 4 families and community members.
The CUperStars provided live entertainment showcasing the talents of local youth. There were games and face painting, as well as food and drinks for all in attendance. The Fire Department “Safety House” was on-site so kids could learn about fire safety. Staff from the Code Compliance Division and Neighborhood Coordination also assisted with the event. The evening also included the monthly United Garden Hills Neighborhood Association meeting to help residents remain informed and active in the Garden Hills neighborhood.
