The Champaign Police Department Commemorates National Police Week

Each May during National Police Week (May 11-17, 2014), the nation pauses to recognize the service and sacrifice of U.S. law enforcement. Local law enforcement agencies in Champaign County join the nation in honoring men and women who lost their lives in the line of duty. On May 16, 2014, at 11:30 a.m., Champaign Police paid a special tribute to their Fallen Officers, Thomas Dodsworth and Robert Tatman at the Champaign Memorial site in Westside Park.

The Department wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the friends, supporters and law enforcement survivors who attended this ceremony.
