The Champaign Fire Department has cancelled their ice rescue training January 31st and February 2nd and 4th, at Kaufman Lake because of forecasted inclement weather. This training will likely be rescheduled later in February.

Fire Department Conducts Ice Rescue Training
The Fire Department conducted ice rescue training at Kaufman Lake January 20-22, 2016. Fire crews participated in skill stations designed to prompt crews to observe ice conditions and make appropriate scene size-ups, perform surface rescues from the ice, and safely remove victims from the ice.
