Fourth Street Lane Closure (from Armory Avenue to Daniel Street)

In conjunction with the City’s 2022 Concrete Street Improvement Project, contractors will be closing the northbound lane of Fourth Street from Armory Avenue to Daniel Street starting Monday, August 22, 2022. This lane should be reopened in early October.


University Avenue Lane Closure (between Fourth Street and Fifth Street)

In order to perform storm sewer repairs, SNC Construction will be closing the right lane of westbound University Avenue between Fourth Street and Fifth Street. University Avenue Lane Closure (between Second Street and Fourth Street)

In order to complete a water main repair, Illinois American Water will close one westbound lane of University Avenue between Second Street and Fourth Street. The closure will begin on Thursday, July 28, and will reopen on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. During the closure, eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in the area.


Kirby Avenue Lane Closures (between First Street and Fourth Street)

2022 Concrete Street Improvements Project (Chalmers Street eastbound at Fourth Street and Armory Avenue eastbound at Fourth Street)

In order for work to be performed as part of the 2022 Concrete Street Improvements Project, City contractors have closed eastbound Chalmers Street at Fourth Street and also eastbound Armory Avenue at Fourth Street.  Work began Tuesday, May 24, and is scheduled to be completed in late August 2022.
