In order to repair a broken water main, Illinois American Water closed the eastbound lane of Washington Street between Hickory Street and Walnut Street. The lane closure began on May 16 and will reopen on May 21. During the closure, eastbound and westbound traffic will shift around the construction. One lane of eastbound traffic and one lane of westbound traffic will be maintained.
