On April 18, 2026, the Ashland Park HOA held a Boneyard Community Day cleanup. The group has registered their subdivision as a Boneyard Creek cleanup site for the past several years. This year, 28 neighborhood volunteers collected 28 bags of litter from their common areas and ponds. The group has additional cleanup events scheduled on weekends from May 2 through August 22. They also plan to hold cleanup events in the fall.
Ashland Park neighbors have noted that completing several smaller cleanup events, as opposed to one or two larger-scale events, has kept their neighborhood cleaner while feeling less overwhelming. The City supports neighborhood-based cleanup efforts by supplying litter sticks, buckets, and trash bags through the Neighborhood Services Engagement Trailer borrow program.
