Staff from the Neighborhood Services Department’s Code Compliance Division noticed a property that was in need of exterior repairs in the 900 block of W. Beardsley Ave. An exterior housing violation notice was issued to the owner. The owner contacted the inspector stating that they were unable to make repairs to the property and that they would be selling the property.
The inspector granted an extension of time to complete the sale of the property. The property was sold to a neighboring property owner who began making repairs to the property. The exterior of the property is greatly improved and is no longer a blight to the neighborhood.
