On August 5, 2025, the Unit 4 School District held its annual Back to School Giveaway at Market Place Shopping Center and provided essential school supplies to students and families in the community. The event featured participation from several local organizations, including Housing Authority of Champaign County, City of Champaign’s Equity & Engagement Department, Children’s Advocacy Center, Y on the Fly, First Followers, and the Champaign Police Department.
Their combined efforts helped ensure over 1000 students were prepared for the upcoming school year while fostering community engagement and support.
