Champaign Police Kickoff Food Drive for Eastern Illinois Food Bank

Champaign Police need your help in the new Protect & Feed competition to benefit Eastern Illinois Foodbank! We’re facing off against five other agencies in an effort to help the community during this giving season. From today, November 8, through November 22, 2024, Champaign Police will be collecting non-perishable food in our lobby at 82 E. University Avenue, Champaign.

Can’t make it to CPD? Other agencies collecting food include Urbana Police, University of Illinois Police, Parkland Police, Rantoul Police, and the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office. As much as we want to win the friendly competition, knowing that our community is benefitting from all of the donations makes all of us winners.

Following the food drive, on Giving Tuesday, December 3, Champaign Police will go head-to-head with other agencies in a food repacking event at the Food Bank’s volunteer center. We’re excited for another opportunity to give back and thank you for your support as we join the fight against hunger in our community!
