Neighborhood Services Department staff helped dedicate another Habitat for Humanity house on West Maple Street. The City is a member of the HOME Consortium, which regularly supports Habitat for Humanity and the construction of affordable housing. The HOME Consortium has now supported 118 affordable homes constructed by Habitat for Humanity.
This lot was originally acquired by the City through the code violation process and was purchased from the City by Habitat for Humanity through a bid process. Moving forward, Habitat for Humanity will first be offered residential lots prior to them being released for bid as a measure to further advance affordable housing goals.
