On Friday, March 29, 2024 the City’s Equity and Engagement Department in partnership with the Finance Department, hosted a breakfast for prime contractors to learn more about the City’s procurement process and diversity efforts. City staff were also invited to participate and speak to vendors. More than 30 people were in attendance and our prime contractors were invited to share their contracting experience, participate in a survey and learn about best practices for procurement with the City of Champaign. This event is just one in a series of events to make contracting with the City as easy as possible. We were thrilled to see participation from so many vendors, multiple City departments, and City Council.
