On October 26, 2023, The Equity and Engagement Department and Neighborhood Services Department collaborated on a resource fair for Champaign residence. This fair took place from 4:00pm-6:00pm, in the parking lot of the commercial area shared with Blueprint Partner, Y on the Fly. There were more than 3 dozen people in attendance, even in midst of the light rain. There were many resources available for attendees to receive information. The event would not have been the success it was without participation from Parkland’s highway construction career program, the City of Champaign Police Department, CU Trauma Resiliency Initiative, Carle, Y on the Fly, and STRIDES. There was also music and food provided such as hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, and chips.
