In order to place a crane and complete an elevator shaft installation at 812 S. Fifth Street (University of Illinois Parking Garage C10), Duce Construction will close Daniel Street between Fifth Street and Sixth Street. The closure will begin on Monday, August 21, and will reopen on Friday, September 1, 2023. During the closure, through traffic will not be allowed, but access will be maintained to all local properties.
