Champaign Police Department Launches Officer Recruitment Marketing Campaign

On July 13, 2023, the Champaign Police Department launched a new marketing campaign to recruit police officers. The department is launching a campaign to attract talented individuals who are committed to public service and making a positive impact in our community. The campaign can be viewed online at

The webpage serves as a centerpiece in the department’s recruiting efforts, with targeted online advertising also being utilized to reach potential candidates. The campaign features videos and photos of officers from the Police Department and highlights the many great reasons to come to work in Champaign. Additional graphics will also be used to refresh printed materials used at recruiting events.

Attracting top talent is essential for the Champaign Police Department to maintain its high standards of public safety and community service. Through expanded marketing, the department intends to broaden its recruitment efforts and reach potential candidates who may not have traditionally considered a career in law enforcement. Champaign Police will also seek to create awareness of the opportunities available within the department to recruit a diverse group of candidates who reflect the community they serve.

Tyler. “In developing these materials, our officers opened up about what our department has inspired in them, and we invite any interested candidates to see what a career with the Champaign Police Department has to offer.”

Staff from Champaign Police worked with the City Manager’s Office and Human Resources and engaged vendor All Star Talent, Inc. in the development of the marketing campaign.
