The Champaign Fire Department responded to a working fire at 1207 Park Terrace Lane, Sunday, February 26, at 5:21 a.m. Crews were originally called to the area by a passerby for the report of a smoke detector sounding. Upon arrival on the scene, fire crews found smoke coming from the roof of a single-family home. Crews quickly deployed one hose line and extinguished a small fire in the crawl space of the house. The house was not occupied and under renovation at the time.
