City Staff Attend Library Community Job Fair

On February 20, City staff met with local job seekers at the Library’s Community Job Fair. Police Chief Tim Tyler and Police Sergeant Matt Crane (pictured right), along with Jessica Mullins and Stacy Rachel from the Human Resources Department, spoke with attendees about current and future employment opportunities with the City, the Police Department, and METCAD. Liz Borman, Assistant HR Director, was also present in the resource room providing general job search guidance and support to attendees.

The fair was highly attended and a great opportunity to promote the City as an employer of choice in our community. During the event, Chief Tyler took advantage of the opportunity to recruit potential future police officer candidates by performing some impromptu “swearing in” ceremonies complete with CPD badge stickers.
