The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fire in a laundry room at 1512 W. Healey St., Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 9:22 a.m. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire in this five unit apartment building.
Firefighters responded to a report from a neighbor of a fire in this one-story apartment building. Once on the scene, fire crews reported fire coming from the rear of the building. Firefighters deployed multiple hose lines and quickly extinguished the fire.
The cause of this fire is undetermined as investigators remain on the scene conducting their investigation. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries reported. The occupants of the building will be displaced because of the damage.
