The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fire in an apartment at 1168 Pomona Dr. on November 12, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire in this multi-family home.
Firefighters responded to a report of a fire in a kitchen at this two-story apartment building, called in by the occupant. Once on the scene, fire crews deployed a single hose line and quickly extinguished the fire. The cause of this fire is accidental and was cooking related. There were no firefighter or occupant injuries reported. The occupant will be displaced as a result of the damage.
