City of Champaign Seeking Public Input on Comprehensive Plan Update

Share Your Thoughts on Champaign Tomorrow 2040

The City of Champaign invites our residents to provide their input and help shape our community’s future. The City has started work on the Champaign Tomorrow 2040 project which will update the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Updating the Comprehensive Plan is critically important because it provides policy guidance to residents, property developers, City staff, and the City Council as to how land should be used and developed in the future. The Comprehensive Plan reflects the community’s vision for how Champaign should grow and develop over the next 20 years.

We encourage our residents to help by providing their valuable input through a short online survey on the City’s website – champaignil.gov/compplan. Survey participants will be asked to provide information about the places they live, shop, work, and play and well as how they get from place to place. Information provided via the survey will help with the Champaign Tomorrow 2040 update and help shape the way Champaign grows and changes in the future.
