Legal Department Participates in Backpack Project
The Daily Bread Soup Kitchen’s 11th annual backpack project is in full swing, and the Legal Department has included it as part of their holiday tradition again this year. Legal Department staff gathered, stuffed and delivered ten new backpacks full of socks, toothbrushes, deodorant, hats, sweatshirts, along with many other toiletries and winter necessities to the organizers.
The 2019 Backpack Project giveaway will take place on December 13th at 10:00 a.m. at the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, located at 116 N. First Street in Champaign. Brand new backpacks full of items will be gifted to their adult lunch guests to ensure they are remembered during the holiday season. We are hopeful that our contribution, along with the efforts of other local organizations, will help spread a little cheer to the citizens of our community this holiday season.
