Residential Fire – 24 Magnolia Drive

The Champaign Fire Department responded to a working fire at 24 Magnolia Drive, Sunday, October 27, 2019, at 2:14 p.m. Fire crews quickly extinguished a fire in the mobile home.

Firefighters responded to a passerby’s report of heavy smoke coming from the mobile home at 24 Magnolia Drive. Once on the scene, crews found heavy smoke coming from the residence. Firefighters deployed multiple hose lines and extinguished the fire.

The cause of this fire is undetermined as investigators remain on the scene conducting their investigation. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries reported. The residents will be displaced as a result of this fire.

The Champaign Fire Department reminds all citizens to maintain a working smoke alarm in their place of residence and to have and practice a home escape plan. Smoke alarms can provide early notification when seconds count.
