More than forty staff members representing ten City departments gathered outside the City Building to take a #CityHallSelfie ahead of the August 15 national social media event. Additionally, staff and residents shared posts with City accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram throughout the day, which the City liked and reshared.
The hashtag provides a fun opportunity for cities across the country to have a little fun and promotes social media outreach between cities and their residents. It is promoted annually on August 15 by the organization Engaging Local Government Leaders and by cities nationwide.
