The City of Champaign congratulates Janel Gomez, a Community Development Specialist in the Neighborhood Services Department, on passing the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) exam.
AICP is the American Planning Association’s professional institute and provides education and certification in the field of Urban Planning. The AICP assists planners in the areas of ethics, professional development, planning education, and the standards of planning practice. Members of AICP pledge to adhere to a detailed Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
Candidates for the AICP exam must have a required urban planning education and number of years of professional planning experience before applying to sit for the exam.
