The Champaign and Urbana Fire Departments responded to a working fire at 808 E. Bradley Avenue, Monday, January 21, 2019, at 3:06 a.m. Fire crews remain on the scene of this second-alarm fire.
Firefighters responded to Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church initially to an automatic fire alarm. Once on the scene, crews reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the Church and quickly upgraded the incident to a second-alarm fire. Firefighters used aerial devices to extinguish the large body of fire and are currently extinguishing any fire that remains.
The cause of this fire is undetermined as investigators remain on the scene conducting their investigation. There have been no firefighter or civilian injuries reported.
