In order to complete a water main replacement adjacent to Central High School at 610 W. University, Cross Construction and Illinois American Water will be closing the following:
• New Street between University Avenue and Park Avenue
• Intersection of New Street and Park Avenue (no through traffic)
The closure will begin on Monday, November 19 and will reopen on Monday, November 26. During the closure, access will be maintained to local properties. Due to the intersection closure at New and Park, properties on Park Avenue (west of New) must use Prospect Avenue for access. Also, properties on New Street (north of Park) must use Church Street for access.
