MCORE Project Update – Project 2 (Green St. – Third St. to Fourth St.)
The City of Champaign and its contractor, Duce Construction, continue to make progress on Project 2 as previously stated in an August 13 press release, however there is one update:
The reopening of Green Street between Third Street and Fourth Street will be delayed by one day, in order to complete sidewalk work and the installation of street lights. This section of the street will reopen by the end of the day on Saturday, August 18. The contractor will work additional hours between now and the end of Saturday. Landscape work and some minor construction and clean-up will continue after that date.
The City of Champaign appreciates the cooperation and patience of property owners, residents, and visitors of the Campustown area during this important project.
