In order to place a crane and remove printing equipment from 48 E Main Street, The News Gazette and Custom Service Crane will be closing Main Street between Market Street and Chestnut Street. The closure will begin on Monday, October 23 and will end on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. During the closure, this block of Main Street will be closed to through traffic. All traffic lanes of Market Street and Chestnut Street will remain open. The City of Champaign parking lot at Main and Market will also remain available for public use.
The City appreciates the cooperation of travelers in the area and encourages caution when traveling near work zones.
