Members of the consulting firm MKSK joined Planning and Development Department staff for a series of on-site meetings to begin the planning process for the future downtown plaza. MKSK project managers Eric Lucas and Aaron Kowalski joined the project team and other staff members for an initial discussion of issues and opportunities impacting the space. Following a field analysis of the site, the MKSK team lead an initial discussion of issues and opportunities with an advisory committee comprised of Champaign citizens. The MKSK team is now working on finalizing the project website, which will be launched late July 2017, with additional community engagement activities being scheduled.
