As part of the City’s 2017 Concrete Street Improvements Project, the pavement on Winchester Drive from Cypress Drive to Broadmoor Drive will be reconstructed. The City’s contractor for the project, Otto Baum, will begin work Monday, May 8, weather permitting.
Beginning Monday, May 8, Winchester Drive will be closed from Broadmoor Drive south to 1809 Winchester Drive. Weather permitting, this section of Winchester Drive will be reopened Monday, May 15.
Due to the nature of the work it will be necessary to close driveways to complete the work. Notice will be given at least 48 hours prior to the closure of affected driveways. Residents may not have access to their driveways for up to 7 days.
Please pay close attention to construction signs, traffic control devices, and marked detours. Please do not park on the street near the construction site or in areas that are posted “No Parking.” Please proceed cautiously through construction zones and use alternate routes whenever possible. The contractor will attempt to complete construction activities as soon as possible to minimize any inconvenience to the residents in the areas of construction.
