The Champaign community has a number of special events planned this weekend for citizens near and far, including the 19th Annual Roger Ebert’s Film Festival, the 9th Annual Christie Clinic Marathon, and a local March for Science celebration. Each of these events will bring increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic to our area, as well as an increase in vehicle parking.
Champaign Police encourages drivers to be alert and patient in your travels and to be aware of where driving impacts may occur. Roads in both Champaign and Urbana will have street closures, higher traffic, and as a result, there may be some travel delays. Residents are encouraged to use the area-beltway map for travel.
As always, ensure safe driving by eliminating distractions and take into consideration alternate routes for your travel plans. See the links below for more information on events and traffic impacts. See HERE for City of Champaign Parking Maps.
