Last night, at approximately 9:48PM, Champaign Police responded to the 1600 Block of Mayfair Rd. for a shots fired report. Upon arrival, officers discovered that within one of the residences, three people had been shot by suspects who had forced entry into the home.  The three male victims, ages 20, 21 and 23, were transported to the hospital and treated for what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.  Police are still seeking the offenders in this case.

According to preliminary investigations, three suspects entered the residence armed with handguns, made demands for the residents’ valuables, and ultimately shot three people in the home.  It is unclear at this time of any known association between the offenders and those present at the home.  The suspects, who were last seen running out of the front door, are described as:

Suspect 1: Black male, late teens, acne scars, 5’11”, wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt and jeans

Suspect 2: Black male, 6’3” to 6’4”, medium build, wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt

Suspect 3:  Black male, 6’1”, late teens
