On Monday, May 18, 2015, the City of Champaign will team up with the CommUnity Matters partners to put on an annual community resource fair.
This year’s event will be held at Garden Hills Elementary School Gymnasium from 5-7 pm and will combine a wellness resource fair and family festival which is open to the public. There will be outdoor entertainment, safety demonstrations, crafts, games, inflatables, face painting, free food and drink. In addition, there will be a vendor fair with over 25 vendors expected to participate this year. Along with the Champaign CommUnity Matters partners, the Champaign Public Works, Police and Fire Departments, C-U Public Health, and many other local service agencies will also be in attendance. At 7:00 pm, directly following the Wellness Spring Fling, there will be a monthly meeting of the United Garden Hills Neighborhood Association (UGHNA).
This event is a collaboration between the United Garden Hills Neighborhood Association and CommUnity Matters partners (Champaign Park District, City of Champaign, Champaign Unit 4 SchoolDistrict, Lifeline Inc., and Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club). Last year’s event brought out over 500 individuals.
