At the time of this update, Bradley Avenue, between Market Street and Fourth Street, remains closed. Other intersecting roads closed in the area of the leak are: Oak Street at Bradley Avenue; North Chestnut Street at Bradley Avenue; and North Clock Street at Bradley Avenue.
Ameren has shut off the gas and is waiting for the gas to “bleed out.” At this time, Ameren and the Champaign Fire Department anticipate Bradley Avenue and affected intersecting streets to be reopened by 4 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
