Champaign Fire Department Investigators have completed the fire investigation at 2306 S. Mattis Ave. After thorough scene examination and witness interviews, investigators were able to determine that the fire started in the kitchen area of the house but have left the cause of this fire as UNDETERMINED.

Neil Street Lane Closure (Update)
In order to continue electric work, Ameren Illinois will be closing one southbound lane of Neil Street between Columbia Avenue and Washington Street. The lane closure will occur on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Southbound Neil Street traffic will be reduced to one lane in the area.
