A total of 312 service requests from citizens and City staff were recorded during February 2013 in the Public Works Department. This count increased by 27 (9%) requests compared to the 285 requests that were received in January. The chart below tracks the number of requests recorded each day by staff.
Due to the increased precipitation during February, Snow and Ice service requests were the largest category of requests received. There were a total of 78 (25%). Sewer-related calls were second in number with 63 (20%).
The greatest number of calls was 43 (14%) for sewer backups. Mailbox repair (damaged by snow plowing) was second at 34 (11%) service requests. Pothole repair requests were in third place with 29 (9%) calls.
