State law allows City employees to continue participation in the City’s health insurance plan when they retire from employment, at their own cost (retiree pays the entire insurance premium, with no City contribution). The Human Resources Department hosted a workshop for retirees on February 28 to provide information about insurance options (including Medicare). Clark Breeze of Wells Fargo (the City’s health insurance broker) and Julie Buesing (the City’s Health Alliance Insurance representative) facilitated the session and answered retiree questions.
