The entire Champaign County community is invited to come out and enjoy the National Night Out Fun Day on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 12 pm – 5 pm at Boneyard Creek Second Street Reach (corner of 2nd Street and Springfield Avenue) in Champaign. There will be community resource information, children’s activities, free hot dogs and popcorn, and live entertainment provided by the Hip Hop Express and the Gavin Stoldt Project.
National Night Out is a country-wide celebration that is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for anti-crime programs, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
