On February 3, 2020, Communications Division staff recorded the “Black Queens Rock: Unapologetically Black” speaking event held at Parkland College. The event was hosted by the Queens Group of Parkland College to empower and celebrate black women. It kicked off Parkland College’s month of events titled, “The Black Experience” to celebrate Black History Month.
Keynote speaker, Genesis Hall is a life coach, licensed clinical social worker, and Ms. Black America 2019. Her speech encouraged the student attendees to recognize the royalty in themselves and others, and live their best lives.
