The City of Champaign and the West Washington Street Watershed Steering Committee are planning to hold an end of project celebration to celebrate the completion of Phase 1 of the West Washington Street Drainage Improvements. The Mayor and City Council members will be in attendance at the event. The celebration is scheduled for Thursday, November 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. at 1301 West Washington Street (between Russell Street and Garfield Avenue).
In order to set up and clean up after the event, Washington Street between Russell Street and Garfield Avenue will be closed starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 20 and is planned for reopening at 9 a.m. on Friday, November 21.
